Having a child who isn’t typical can be very confusing and overwhelming, and it is often difficult to know where to start, what to do, or where to go. This website is designed for confused parents. Here you will be able to find important information that will allow you to understand, and effectively help your child to become the best person they can be.       You may be wondering what this website has that other sources don’t. The truth is that there is a lot of information out there about autism and other related conditions. There are books written by people with doctorates in psychology, books written by parents, websites dedicated to various biomedical treatments, and newsletters for everything else. So what makes this website any different, or worth reading? To put it simply, this website offers my advice, from the perspective of an autistic adult who has learned the hard way what does and does not work. While I have nothing against non autistic parents and psychologists who write about the condition, they often fail to properly understand what is really going on.       So I have made this website to explain what autism is, how it affects your child, and how to properly handle things from an insider’s point of view. Autism is indeed a disorder, and it can cause many problems if handled poorly. But, if you learn how to handle it properly, adjust for the differences, and focus on the important things, then you can help your child overcome many of the problems that they face. And that is what this web page is designed to do.
